Babysmart Cooshee Booster Seat Classic, Cranberry

Comment: This will sound very similar to a previous reviewers comments; however, we also bought this booster shortly after purchasing a new dining set as we did not want our old booster to scratch our new furniture. My daughter likes to sit in a different chair every so often and when I went to remove the seat, the finish on the chair was warped. I couldn't believe it! The writing on the bottom does say not to use on fine furniture, but I didn't discover the disclaimer until after my new chair was ruined. What kind of furniture are you supposed to use it on? It also says to use a protective non-slip cover. You would think the company would sell them. Not sure what they mean by that. I called babysmart today, they have yet to return my call.

Comment: We purchased two of these cooshee boosters, one for our 4 year old and another for our 2 year old. The kids love sitting in them. They are soft and clean up easily with a damp cloth.

The one negative I must report is that the foam material they are made of sticks to the surface of the wood chairs we use and when we lift the booster off the chairs, it takes off the finish! The upside is that the booster stays in place, yet, it damages the wood finish. The older wood chairs we use these on are seriously damaged because of this. The finish is actually stuck to the bottom of the booster. When we tried the boosters on more modern wood chairs with a more secure finish, the boosters did not pull off the finish, but left a residue on the wood finish that will not come off.

So, I would suggest using some sort of barrier between the seat and the chair surface (be careful, though, because a booster seat that doesn't stick as well to the seat may not be as secure as you need it).

Comment: I bought this for my nephew. He's about 2.5 years old and on the top of the growth chart. He likes using it, and it's really nice if you like modern looking devices. I have heard these do wear out, so longevity may be an issue if you are passing them on from child to child.

Personally, I like my traditonal Fisher Price Bosster seat. Well not for me, for my son. He likes it, and my wife likes it because it's easy to clean. M
If looks or having something your friends don't have is more important, this will be fine.

Comment: I purchased this for my 3 year old last year. She is now 40 inches tall and still uses this at the table. Here are the pro's:
Durable! Soft to sit in, but dense enough to hold up without flaking or breaking chunks away.
Not slippery! It stays on the chair very well.
Not plastic! Not only is it kind to skin, but when it falls off a chair it doesn't go "BANG" on the floor.
Light weight! Any small child can carry it where ever.
Great shape to stay put. It stays down very well. A child would really have to sit on an edge to get it to flip.
Comes with a very nice zippered bag for taking it with you.
You may not find this any where else, so get it here!

Comment: Perfect - does the job with just the right height. My grandson is comfortable and no more damage to dinning chairs with no need for tie downs.
