The main wood tray is covered by a dishwasher-safe, plastic tray cover so it is easy to tidy-up and always have a clean surface available for Baby at each meal. The wood tray is fully shielded on top and around all edges, and the see-through plastic allows the beauty of the wood to show through. The removable, plastic tray includes one cup holder and a large main compartment, and is easily detached by releasing the clips that snap to the main tray on both sides. The plastic tray is deeply indented with a lip around all sides to keep food and liquids contained. The fixed, wood tray features one spacious compartment with a lip around outside edge. Wood tray is handy for playtime and snack time, but is also easily wiped clean if used for meals. Five-point harness system is securely attached to the seat panel. Harness straps are adjustable at the waist and the shoulders so it remains comfortable as your child grows. In addition, the shoulder straps feature swiveling clips so they won8217;t bind or restrict your child8217;s normal movements while eating or enjoying stationary play. A few were negative, but most people recommended this high chair, so we thought we'd give it a try. We just put it together and liked the overall look to it, however, there is one major problem. There is a piece (non-removable without taking apart the high chair) under the tray that keeps the baby from falling through the bottom, but the space between that piece and the back is so small (about 8-10 inches,) we couldn't get our 9-month-old daughter into the high chair! She had straightened her legs and went stiff so we couldn't bend them, but even if she went limp, it would have been a challenge. They probably designed it that way so the tray would sit closer to the baby, preventing food from falling into their lap, but if they moved that piece forward by a couple of inches, it would be so much easier and still allow the tray to sit close. I was looking for something that could be used as a high chair and then later at the table when she gets a little bigger. I also wanted something that would be easy to keep clean. We purchased this about 4 months ago.
The best feature is the plastic tray. The wooden tray stays attached and the plastic tray can be easily snapped on and off as needed. It is very easy to clean. I don't understand the point of tray liners that a lot of chairs come with. What baby eats neat enough that you only need to clean the middle of the tray? You also don't have to worry about a baby figuring out how to throw this off like many of them do when they have a tray liner. As the first reviewer states, there is a definite problem with getting an infant or toddler into the chair with the tray attached. There is a strap that attaches from the tray and fits into an opening in the seat. Although I like the tray, the straps to hold the baby are not really easy to work with. Also when picking a high chair take into consideration that all the material should be easy to clean with a quick wipe. You can't wash the fabric everyday if you are a busy mom. |
