Cons: It does not move around easy; the "wheels" are useless. It does not clean easy. It is hard to get a child in/out of it. The foot rest broke as soon as my son could bear weight on it; to Bloom's credit, they mailed a replacement part ASAP, without question, just with a simple phone call. My son is two now, and the "egg" curve is uncomfortable for him to sit in. Summation: Not worth $100, let alone $500. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By sassymom (San Francisco, California) - See all my reviews This review is from: Bloom Fresco Loft High Chair - White / Coconut White (Baby Product) This is, by far, the most stylish and beautiful high chair in the world. It is truly an eye-catcher. We get more compliments on this high chair than any other piece of furniture in our home. However, there are serious drawbacks: 1) This chair is a NIGHTMARE to clean. It will take you a good 30 minutes to take everything apart and put in back together. That doesn't include the time spent trying to get food out of nooks and crannies. There are so many places for food to hide! I had to take the entire chair apart each weekend for a "deep cleaning" because it gets so gross. Truly a headache. 2) It is NOT easy to use. It looks simple in the videos, but I have to put my entire weight into every single lever/button to get this chair to adjust. 3) Not very comfortable for the kiddos. Once our little one hit 12 months, he was uncomfortable in this chair. The egg shaped seat forces him to hunch and looks very uncomfortable as kids get older...Read more 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Bloom Fresco Loft High Chair - White / Coconut White (Baby Product) Apparently, this chair won a European design award. I have a degree in industrial design myself and am kicking myself that we bought two of these for our twin girls. All I can say is whoever designed these did not have children. We have since bought two very cheap (like $20 cheap) portable Fisher price booster seats and sit the kids at the dining table with us.
To underscore some points made by others: -Cleaning these things is simply a joke. Baby food works its way into all sorts of nooks and crevices (the chairs, not the kids) and the only way to properly get them clean is to take them apart completely and scrub in the bathtub, all in 20-30 mins per chair. -Any moderately energetic toddler will easily be able to out-fight you in order to be prevented from being strapped into these things. -The waist straps stay in place but the shoulder straps slip down and can easily be got out of. The buckles also feel cheap and we could never get the right adjustment...Read more |
