Summary: Great quality wooden highchair! 2009-11-24
Comment: We just love this highchair, so much so that we are investing in one for my sister who is expecting. The quality of construction is great! It is a very sturdy chair, and is all wood. Made in the USA no less, you don't find that very often these days. We purchased a padded highchair cushion seperately (at JCPenny) and it was a great addition. We never had any sliding issues, as some have mentioned, and our very petite 5 month old girl fit in it just fine. We expect to be able to use this highchair for additional children, and maybe even grandchildren some day. I would recommend it to anyone! [...]

Summary: Too large even for a big 21 month old.... 2007-11-06
Comment: So, I looked into various high chairs and saw this Rochelle High Chair. Solid wood, made in the USA, simple and classic design. Yes, it is a bit pricey, and the plastic tray cover costs an extra 19.99. I thought it would last through a few children, grandchildren or made have a high resell value because of all the features I mention.... WRONG!!!
It is horrible, really. It is huge. My son has only used it a few times and ever time he sits in it he slids down in it, even with the buckle on! I've tried to put him in it off and on since he was younger until now, he's 21 months old. When he was younger I tried putting rolled up blankets in it to help support him up so he wouldn't slid and that didn't work. He is tall and big for his age so I know it's not his size. By the time he comfortably fits in it he will be too old for a high chair and will want to sit in a regular dinning room chair.
So, this high chair, as nice as it "looks" has been taking up space in my house. I'm not sure what to do with it. I've been using, since he needed a high chair, a cheap booster seat that attaches to a regular dining room chair and that works great! I really wish I had a different wooden high chair from the start though. As you can see I am really disappointed. Please, please save your money and look for another wooden high chair that your child will fit into.
This chair earned a one star only because it's solid wood, simple and classic design and USA made but even with that it's barely functional. I really wish this chair would have been better and I could say great things about this chair.
