To be fair, this highchair is beautiful. The Mercedes of highchairs. I have owned it for 4 months (different pattern) and paid $140.00 for it. Anyone who visits compliments me on it. For those of you complaining about the "crotch bar", you can simply remove it. Unscrew the bolt and it should pop right out. Just be sure to buckle in your little one each time.
*Why I bought it* I wanted a vinyl covered highchair. They are far and few between nowadays though. Baby food, bottles and drool are no match for a cloth cover. I liked the fact that the crotch bar was not attached to the seat, making it useful for a preschooler to use as a booster seat. Ditto on the large footrest that is like a ladder step and and adjustable a dozen ways. I like the array of patterns that don't shout out "BABY".
*Why I hate it* Seat does not sit upright enough. My 4 month old struggles to lean foward. I have solved this problem temporarily by putting a piece of foam behind the padding...Read more

Well-made seat, space-aged looking seat! It has such great space saving features and folds very easily. Most are able unfold with one hand. The range of height adjustment for the seat is fantastic. My wife and I can easily feed the baby from the high dining table, down to low sofa level. Out of all of the seats that we strap the baby into including strollers, swings, car seats etc., the constraint on this high chair takes the best design award in our household. A cinch to get the child in and out, easy to avoid pinching, and seems extraordinarily safe.

We used this high chair for both of our boys (now ages 5.5 and 2.5) and it works great. Easily adjusts to different heights for use at table, counter, etc. The grooves/ corners of the padding can get a little gunked with food, but I think that happens to all high chairs. It's nice that it folds up to get shoved in the closet for when company comes over or for storage between kids. Also comes with 2 trays which is nice to save some time from constant cleaning.
