Someone had his thinking cap on when this high chair was designed. Plenty of baby furniture is built for only one short stage of development. But the Transition chair goes from standard high chair to toddler chair and table almost instantaneously. When baby has graduated out of the messy high chair days and is ready to move on to new, more advanced levels of mess, simply push one button to remove the seat from the high chair base, flip the base on its side, and voila! Baby's high chair is now Big Kid's very own table and chair, complete with pencil tray and book support, ready for years more of service. In high chair mode, the chair is lightweight and portable, with a removable, dishwasher-safe double tray with two bottle or cup holders. The seat reclines to three different positions, and has a removable, washable seat cushion. Summary: The best thing for Tots 2008-06-09
Comment: This high chair is the best. My son loves it, he does everything on this. He feels like such a big boy when he sits in it. Unfortunatley 2 of the pegs have broken off so I don't use it as a high chair anymore. I love this and recommend it to all my friends, especially when a newborn is on the way and you need to transition the older one.

Summary: Love the Combi Transition High Chair 2007-02-06
Comment: For the money, I wanted something that my little guy could use when he no longer needed the high chair. Regular high chairs are the same price and when the child outgrows it, all you have left is a high chair. I like that he will have his own desk and chair.
It was super easy to assemble and took less than 10 minutes. Once put together, it is a bit bulky but space wasn't an issue for us.
I started using this as soon as he could eat solids (4 months). The arm straps do a good job keeping him in place and the waist strap adjusts to fit perfectly. He can still wiggle a bit but there is no way he can wiggle out of the straps. I like the fact that this has arm/shoulder straps. I have a feeling that they are going to be a big help once he is big enough to try to stand up in the highchair like I have seen many little kids do.
The design is very modern. We refer to it as his rocket ship. Again, it is bulky, but we expected that. The nice thing is that it snaps apart and snaps back together very easily so we can turn it into the desk and chair and then put it back to a high chair quickly when needed. We won't have to wait until he is completely done with the high chair before he can use the desk.
Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the Combi Transition High chair

Summary: overall a good highchair in the price range 2006-12-06
Comment: My child is 5 1/2 months old and the chair is a little big right now, he cannot reach the tray yet. THe foot rest is not adjustable. The straps are a little tough to unhook, but they may just still be stiff. The chair looks good and was easy to assemble. The chair is very sturdy and i feel my son is very safe. All things considered, we are happy with the chair and would recommend it. I really tried to research the different highchairs on the market and this one met all of our needs and hopefully our son will continue to enjoy using it.
