4.0 out of 5 stars Great except for gap in removeable tray, August 13, 2010

Very beautiful chair and my 23 mo.-old likes it and still fits in it fine. I keep all his bibs and some washcloths on the shelf on the back, which saves precious drawer space in my kitchen. He did go through a short phase where he would pull them all off and throw them on the floor, so depending on your kid's personality, you may not want to store things there!

The main thing I don't like is that there is a little gap between the top removable tray and the main tray right in front of his tummy, so any drips/spills/crumbs collect in there and then I just have 2 trays to clean. They should have made it so the edge of the removable tray curved over the bottom tray a little so nothing could get in there. It is nice that you can just throw the removable tray in the dishwasher, though.

Another minor issue is that when I have the seat pad off to wash it, my son complains that the little ledge on the backrest hurts his back. He's on the smaller side, so doesn't have...Read more

The highchair was easy to assemble.

We really like this wooden highchair. We have a pub height table and the highchair is perfect for our little girl to sit at the table with us.

There is a "permenant" front bar with small tray, so she can sit in it without the main & snack trays attached. We've found it super easy to keep clean.

We use the back shelf for a small bin of bibs, which is really useful.

If we unscrew the "permenant" front bar/tray the chair pushes right up to the table and will be perfect height for her to eat at the table when she outgrows use of the trays. This is a really nice feature as this seat has the appropriate seat size and has wooden arm rests that will make it safer for her to sit with us at the table when she is a toddler/pre-schooler.

We can see getting years of use out of this. It matches our dark wood set nicely.

This is a beautiful piece of furniture that blends in very nicely with our dining room. However, I should note that the "Eddie Bauer" logo, as well as the piping on the seat cover are pink. It looks so unisex in the picture, I didn't even think twice about it being for a girl. I guess the name "Michelle" should have tipped me off. Nevertheless, our little guy will still be using this gorgeous, albeit somewhat feminine, highchair. I have not used this highchair enough yet to give a detailed review of the functionality of the chair; however, I am looking forward to using it more.
