Amazon.com Product Reviews

Perhaps one day feeding time will be clean and hassle-free, but the generations of messy kids suggest this will be a battle for ages to come. However, Evenflo--makers of high-quality baby care products for over 85 years--have done their best to ameliorate some of the bother with the Expressions Plus high chair.

The Evenflo Expressions Plus high chair is designed to be easy to use and easy to clean.

A plethora of features will have parents buzzing about the versatility and practicality of the Expressions Plus. From bottom up: caster wheels allow the high chair to move smoothly and maneuver around the dining table and kitchen. The wheels are lockable for stationary feeding. The vinylized cloth seat is padded for additional comfort, and spills simply wipe up with the use of warm water and soap. The three-point harness will keep baby secured during feeding. The seat has three reclining positions that make feeding infants all the more possible, and the high chair has seven height adjustments to grow with your baby.

The Expressions Plus has seven height adjustments and three recline positions.

The feeding tray has a few tricks up its sleeve, as well. It has an easy, one-handed release-slash-adjust, and it hides a little parent organizer that slides away. The organizer is great for keeping utensils and jars of food handy. The tray insert is extremely easy to clean; simply pop it out and throw it in the dishwasher. The Expressions Plus also has a handy towel bar to hang bibs and washcloths--another one of those small details you find yourself using more often than not.

When it comes time to put away the high chair, the Expressions Plus folds compact and includes a tray stow on the back of the chair. The high chair requires some assembly out of the box, but the instructions are clear and concise, and total build time should not take over an hour (considerably less if you have had practice putting products together). The durable and easy-to-use Evenflo Expressions Plus high chair packs a ton of features you would expect in a premium high chair at a fraction of the cost. Parents rave about the value of this particular high chair, and it is easy to see why. The manufacturer recommended age is birth to three years, and the maximum weight is 40 pounds. --Scott Teal

Gender-neutral tan and blue plaid, plus fun animals make this high chair a great option for any baby.

Summary: Fabric is not machine washable 2008-06-04
Comment: I got the high chair new few months back (May 2008) and once while eating, my kid puked on the chair. So i decided to give the cover a wash in washing machine to clean. The fabric completely worn out on single wash. Customer service says, it's not machine washable!!

How can high chair fabric be NOT WASHABLE meant for infants and kids???

I would NOT Recommend this.

Summary: DO NOT BUY EVENFLO HIGH CHAIRS!! 2007-03-21
Comment: I have now owned 2 Evenflo high chairs, and both have resulted in injury to my children!
The first was the Evenflo Envision chair, and my son got his arm caught between the A frame support and the body of the chair itself. The space between the supports and the chair was too wide!! His elbow was nearly dislocated when we removed it!!
We contacted Evenflo, who gave us the NEW version of the chair, which had a much smaller space between the two. We thought this would solve the problem, and since we loved the chair otherwise, were happy.
NOW, my daughter, who is 6 months, got her fingers pinched in the holes at the back of the legs that allow for the height adjustment feature. The skin was shredded clean off her tiny fingers. We will NEVER buy an Evenflo chair again, as ALL EVENFLO HIGH CHAIRS HAVE THIS DESIGN, including the MAJESTIC, ENVSION, and EXPRESSIONS!! DO NOT BUY!!!

Summary: Love it! 2007-01-14
Comment: This was the perfect high chair for us. The grandparents got one and it worked so great I traded in my fisher price for one. It's great for pushing her around to different parts of the house so she can 'help' with what we are doing. This helps me get so much done. The colors look so much better in person than in the pictures, it's mellow and goes with the house.

To address the negative comments. We haven't needed to wash the seat, it wipes out so easy with a sponge so I don't know about shrinkage. We haven't had sagging problems but that may be because my daughter wants to sit straight up most of the time now and doesn't put much pressure on the seat back anymore. The inner tray is mostly useless to us but we leave it in. So far no problems with it coming out too easily.

Summary: Don't buy this one 2007-01-09
Comment: On the postitive side, the design is cute and neutral, so it goes with any decor and the height adjustment is quick and convenient. However, the negatives just totally outweigh it all. As the other reviewer said, the seat back won't stay in the complete upright position any more, which is bad when baby gets older (mine is 20 months now). The seat cover comes off and on quickly for washing, but whatever you do, don't toss it in the dryer. It shrinks and the back of ours melted, even though it appeared to be just material before the initial wash. They designed the tray to come off with one hand, but they positioned the mechanism front and center. My little guy figured out that he can stick his foot in there, give one teensy push and the whole tray goes flying off. NEVER place your baby in this seat without securing the buckles! The removable tray is a good idea but ours just won't stay on. He figured out how to get that off when he was 6 months old. If they fixed the reclining back, moved the latch and made it so the tray stayed on it would be much better. That said, I'm in the market for a new high chair.

Summary: slouchy seat 2006-11-04
Comment: We were initally pleased with this chair, however as time went on the seat began to sag back. Our son, now 18 months old, has to pull himself forward just to eat. The joints between the front and rear legs have separated and we're now researching new high chairs since we're concerned about the possiblity of the joint failing completely.
