It worked perfectly and we never had a problem with it. Our son sat securely in from 5 months until he moved to a booster. We paid $39.99 for this chair and turned around and sold it two years later for $20. Not a bad deal! We would have kept it, but with our small dining area, it no longer would work with baby #2 and we needed something that folds up. It is big, but if that isn't a problem, then I recommend this chair. The base takes up way to much room and it doesn't fold to be put out of the way.
