This review is from: Inglesina 2010 Fast Table Chair (Baby Product) I really love this chair. I have 16- month old twins, and this is the second chair I have bought. The first table chair is a Phil & Ted Me Too, and the Inglesina is absolutely superior in ever way. Comparing the two I have found:
-- The Phil&Ted is not nearly as comfortable for the child. There is virtually no padding, and the nylon seat is held up by a frame of hard metal bars. So the child has only a hard bar to lean against and a hard metal bar between their chest and the table. The Inglesina has a well-padded (removable!) seat and and high, padded back for the child to lean against. The sides are padded as well, and there is no hard bar in front, only the clip for the safety straps. -- The Phil & Ted's safety straps are useless. They are an odd design that doesn't allow you to securely strap the child in, and they tend to fall down the child shoulders, rendering them unable to raise their arms. By contrast, the Inglesina has a nice thick, easy to use...Read more 60 of 68 people found the following review helpful: By Busy Mommy (Central PA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Inglesina 2010 Fast Table Chair (Baby Product) After reading reviews, I purchased this chair to use for travel and wanted to share my experience for other parents like me who read a gazillion reviews and agonize over whether they are making the right baby-product choice. I will say that it is well-designed, sturdy, well padded, with high-quality fabric, and a clever attached carry bag. However, after about 5 uses, I purchased a Fisher Price Healthy Care booster seat (at less than half the cost of the Fast Chair) and am going to sell the Fast Chair and hope I can recoup some of the cost. These are the reasons the Fast Chair did not work for us: it doesn't work on tables with a skirt, on pedestal tables, or on glass tables. That rules out the vast majority of restaurant tables, many of which have a central pedestal. It rules out our glass table on our back patio, and many other tables we've wanted to use it on. You also can't use it over a tablecloth, so in a restaurant with a cloth you have to fold it back to hook on the...Read more 21 of 22 people found the following review helpful: By Mommy of 2 in ND (Dickinson ND) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Inglesina 2010 Fast Table Chair, Ecru (Baby Product) This is a great chair! We leave it hooked to our counter island in the kitchen where the rest of the family likes to gather. It is neutral, so it looks nice. It's also very stable, easy to wipe clean, and our 1 yr old seems comfortable and does not try to climb out of it. I like the buckles-easy for us to manage quickly but still too difficult for children to open. Buckles also are covered with a flap of fabric that snaps over them so they stay clean and out of the toddler's sight. The seat has a firm bottom so children don't "sink" into it like a camp chair (like some other models). Our daughter sits up to the table with a Svan chair for our other meals (also highly recommended). This "Fast" chair is very portable and we took it to a relatives' house for Thanksgiving. I haven't taken it to restaurants because I fear their tables may not be counter-balanced or stable enough to hold 20+ lbs on one edge. We don't use the back pocket, but maybe if we traveled with it more we would. This...Read more |
