Joovy Nook High Chair - White
The Joovy Nook is amazing! It folds completely flat with one hand (just like a beach chair)! It has clean lines and is very unobtrusive. It wipes down easily and you can take the entire seat cover off and put it in the washer and dryer (the leatherette material is also washable). The Nook's SWING OPEN TRAY makes it easy to put your child in and out of the high chair. It is simple and easy to use. The tray features a second removable top tray that easily snaps on and off (it's dishwasher safe too). The top tray is a lifesaver, making food disappear before it makes the transition from eating to wearing, instantly leaving a clean tray for a book, toy or a second course.

But unfortunately the fact that you can't push the tray up close to your baby is a real disadvantage. My baby boy is big and was able to sit in a high chair at a few months old, but the large gap didn't create a secure enough fit. Now that he is 8 months there is still a large gap, and he is 24 lbs and very tall for his age. The gap means that more food ends up on the floor or in his lap, not to mention I have stabbed him in the eye, nose, cheek a few times with the spoon since the gap allows him to lunge towards the incoming spoon. If the tray was adjustable I would love this high chair. :( 8 of 9 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Joovy Nook Highchair, Black Leatherette (Baby Product) so i really fell in love with the bloom chair when i was pregnant.......i was VERY close to buying it when my son was 3 months old.....thank god there was a baby bjorn babysitter in the store that i decided to get instead....holding off on buying a high chair until i really needed it.....
so at 11 months....it was time for a high chair.....baby was picking up finger foods great.....and i wanted a little more freedom...as his chair was my lap at the dinner table up until then.........when i went back to look at the bloom...i couldnt justify paying 400+ for a highchair.....not only that i realized the value in having EXTREMELY portable/fold-up-able baby gear...for our lifestyle........i however dreaded the search....because i refused to have one of those big clunky gerneric FP type highchairs.......function AS WELL AS design are very important to me. thank goodness for the joovey NOOK......i searched it out online...and then my local buy buy baby had it for...Read more |
