Kids II Booster Seat - Pink

This is easily the worst booster chair design I have EVER come across. It's not the chair itself, it's the lap belt. You have to loop one leg through the harness, only to have to affix the belt together on one side of the child's lap. You can't just place the chil in the seat, and then affix the belt together. I am taking it back today, and cannot get over the poor quality.

This booster seat is fabulous. We have two: one at our house, very firmly attached to our wooden chair, with a folded tea towel between the seat and the chair, partly to protect the chair and partly because the seat moved a little when we were installing it. The other seat is at my mothers house, installed on her upholstered chair, also with a tea towel, but that is to keep any falling debris off the chair. The seats have a three point harness belt system, though we've stopped using it now that our child is old enough to not try to get out by herself. There are two belts that attach the seat to your chair, they are a bit of a hassle to get tightened down properly on our wooden chair, but I had no problems installing it on my mothers upholstered seats. The way they are made with a smooth finish inside means that any food that falls in doesn't get trapped and they wipe clean very well.

I bought this because it was such a great price and my daughter loved the color. I thought, "How different can booster seats be? And why should I pay $50.00 bucks for one?" Well, we have cushioned chairs with vintage plastic covered chairs, and these plastic boosters "cut" right into the cushioned upolstry in a really bad way. I refuse to destroy my chairs to pay less for a booster. I went out and bought the ultra-expensive cushioned boosters with flat, soft bottoms to protect my chairs. If you have any cushions on your chairs or upostered chairs, this is not for you. I still gave them three stars however, because I gave them to my in-laws and they work pretty well on their hard wood chairs. On the other hand, I'm still concerned about the hard, sharp plastic edges scratching the seats of their chairs.
