This review is from: Lime Dot Retro Splat Mat (Baby Product) I love the way this splash mat looks. And it does wipe down really well. But it's definitely not meant for any machine washing. My baby dumps everything off her high chair. Most of the time, I sponge down the splash mat and it's fine. But sometimes it's just too much and I throw the thing in the washer. Now it's developing small rips. I realize that they don't say it's machine washable, so if you can get by without it, all power to you. When the mat arrived, I was a bit surprised at how thin the material is. Also, there is no backing on the mat, so it slides around on the tile, and also tends to curl and fold on the edges.
