Mia Moda Alto Highchair, Black

I purchased this highchair for my daughter about a year ago and it has worked well for us with a few caveats. The seat sits quite low in comparison to the large removable tray, and my daughter is quite small. At one year it is usable but still a bit high for her. This being said, there is a built-in small tray (also removable) at a much better height on the chair for use when the large tray is unattached. I find myself omitting the large tray altogether as this small tray is sufficient for a child who is self-feeding small bits with constant parental supervision, and I like the fact that I can get closer to her or pull her nearer to the table without the bulky tray attached. Besides, it is much easier just to wipe down the little tray than deal with cleaning the larger one. Also, it is great that when the small tray is removed you can pull the chair right up to the table (keeping the kid strapped in, of course). I bought this highchair for my unborn son so i have no review on its functionality yet. However just from the physical review, this chair has pros and cons:

Pros:
Is very fashionable. The print and design were exactly what I wanted.
It was very easy to put together, it took all of 15 min.
It is light so its easy to move around.
The manufacture description was spot on.

Cons:
It has very little padding in the seat.
The dishwasher safe removable cover on the tray is hard to remove
The fabric looks easy to clean but it is very rough. Almost like plastic canvas
The harness straps have no protective padding and have sharp edges to them.

Biggest piece of junk ever! If I had known this was made by "Dream On Me" I would have never ordered it in the 1st place. I took a chance bc the reviews, though few, we're decent and I had a smaller budget.. NEVER again. I can honestly say it was the most frustrating, annoying, borderline infuriating purchase. This box was open when I got it. I pulled out the PIECES, saw "Dream On Me" on the instructions and thought oh no, but maybe it won't be a disaster, wrong again. The instructions were the worst set I've ever read, the pins you use to slide the legs together were broken so I had to fish them out from inside the chair legs and rig them with pliers to get it together. I should have stopped right there.. Bottom line:

The seat is too deep, making the tray almost at my daughters neck. I had to fold a towel for her to sit on to make her fit. She's 6 Mo, 20lbs and 27 inches, so she's not too small.
