Product Description
Prima Pappa Best is the ultimate high chair with butter soft stain resistant upholstery and adjustable height seat angle and footrest options Plus dual trays make clean up a snap
Comment: We are very happy with this highchair for a variety of reasons:
1) It has a safety post that keeps the child from sliding out of the chair.
2) It has two trays. The main tray slides out easily and cleans quickly in the sink. The second tray snaps easily onto the first.
3) It rolls nicely and locks into place nicely.
4) It folds nicely
5) It cleans just fine with a paper towel. Every few months I stick it in the shower.
6) We ordered replacement straps and a seat cover after 4.5 years of use and they arrived quickly and worked just fine.
This has been a great product for us.

Summary: Abomination - do not even THINK of buying 2010-02-22
Comment: If you have a baby who does not eat food OR you have a large staff of people who clean things for you, this high chair might be fine. Otherwise - it is a total abomination. It cannot be cleaned and I have found mold growing in places on it because there are crevices that cannot be cleaned out. Whoever designed this should be made to lick off the chair with their tongue after a week of use. DO NOT BUY or even take one that someone gives you for free. I am very mechanically oriented and I cannot figure out how to take it apart enough to clean it. On top of this, it is too big. Perhaps if the little offer thing that shows "buy this together with a 2000 PSI powerwasher" shows up you might think about buying it, but only if you feed your child outdoors.

Summary: We are buying another one for our second baby! 2010-02-05
Comment: Aerospace Engineer Daddy here once again... my reviews are always based on facts and not emotions, so here we go:
1) Our Peg Perego Prima Pappa is a high quality highchair made in Italy, with stricter Quality Control than other countries to guarantee its reliability and functionality meets the parents needs. We are careful with restraint products and their manufacturer origins, and a highchair is one to be selective with.
2) It's structure is lightweight steel tube mounted on durable plastic, very easy to wipe off food and ours has not lost its glossy finish. Your child can continue eating her dessert on the underneath tray when you snap off the dirty top one for cleaning (tray is dishwasher safe).
3) The seat is leather, also simple to wipe off and has a tilt feature so we can swivel our baby back when she falls asleep at the table; it can also be lowered to adjust to our table height.
4) Another feature we love is the tray can be removed with only one hand by the press of the front latch; our baby is still young so the five point harness, and removable crotch stop keeps her safely seated.
5) We liked the European Design look and it has proven to be very sturdy and most importantly "stable" for our hyper kicking child. We are very satisfied with the Prima Pappa and plan on buying another one for our second child. Happy shopping!

Summary: Sort of like your formal dining room...really pretty to look at but not all that comfortable to eat in! 2010-01-20
Comment: I had an older version of this chair, the classic "blue and white" plaid model that got completely used up after three kids (yes, you can use up a high chair!). This version is soooo much fancier. My mom bought this for me, and I love the soft leather-like material and the cushy padding. My sweet baby loves "sitting" in her seat and playing with toys. Right now, we are mainly using this for rice cereal feedings and playtime while mommy blowdries her hair :). This chair is so elegant looking, we put it in our formal dining room. I let my almost 3-year-old eat in it occasionally when we have dinner in there, so some of my comments are from the 3-year-old,and some are from the 5-month-old.
The chair has a five point harness system, much like an infant car seat. This is great for younger babies, as you can secure them from the top, sides, and bottom. You can also remove the top straps when they get a little older and more inclined to love their freedom! The chair is adjustable to several different heights. The tray has "two layers," so you can remove the top layer for cleaning (even in the dish washer)...The chair folds up for easy storage. The chair is light and compact as compared to some of the other, less expensive chairs. But, the chair is very pricey, and I'm not sure if it is really worth the extra money.
The only disadvantages:
In order for the chair to fold up, you have to lower the chair all the way to the ground, kick the foot pedal in, and push the chair together. This process just takes a little practice.
The cover can be removed for cleaning (I would probably never do this, but my husband is one of those dismantle-everything-to-figure-out-how-it-works-type).
I didn't even realize this but, like another reviewer said, there is too large of a gap between the tray and baby's tummy. So, lots of food, etc. ends up in her lap insteaad of the tray or bib, especially when the she is "raking" food towards her mouth and trying to get a bite. Does that make sense? lol.
Overall, the chair is beautiful and blends very well with "upscale" decor (if that is important to you, lol). I am very appreciative to have it, but I don't know that I would have spent the money on it if I had to buy it for myself. We honestly use our booster seat (an old restaurant booster seat we snagged at a garage sale) or bumbo seat more often than the high chair for our 3-year-old and 4-year-old.

Summary: POORLY DESIGNED FOR BABY 2009-06-10
Comment: I KEEP MEANING TO WRITE TO PEG PEREGO AND GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO COMMENT ON THIS. TO SUMMARISE (BY IMPORTANCE)
Impossible to clean: there are so many 'cracks' you just can't get to them all. The tray has a hole in the moulded plastic, so water and stuff gets in there and can not be cleaned - i see ants marching in there - urg!
the padded seat has to many folds to easily clean and is not machine washable. the straps are made of a fabric that absorbs spillages and does not scrub well, did i mention that you need a spanner set to remove the cover from the chair so you can properly clean the straps and beneath the cover?!!!! the buckle is large and when food gets in the middle you cant get it out.
The tray is two high: my daughter is 18 months and she still can not compfortable hold a beaker and drink as the height is too much, there is a large gap between her belly and the tray and so she drops all over her.
The buckle is hard to do up: especially when you have one who is not wanting to be strapped in, and without straps it is too easy for a child to stand up and topple out of the chair.
the wheels are good (a bonus) and the height is easily adjustable. I also didnt have any trouble with getting the tray in and out. Basically i would say - good mechanics but alas no-one tested this with a baby!
I am on the website today reading reviews to buy another chair, yet i hoped at this cost, this would be a purchase to get me through both children.
