5.0 out of 5 stars Super High Chair!, February 14, 2006
This review is from: Peg Perego Prima Pappa Diner in Oatmeal (Baby Product)
I read through many reviews for this product--aparently this is a new color, and there aren't any reviews here? I bought it despite many complaints about it being difficult to clean all the nooks and crannies. I think the people who hate it have older babes who are self-feeding and making bigger messes. And the ones who love it have little babes who are not making their own messes, yet. I'm still in the love category, but my son is eating finger foods and it's really not that difficult to clean.

I love the easy to wipe fabric, and the fact that it doesn't have a print on it. It's not all that bad looking--for a high chair. The straps are easy to operate and it creates a safe zone for a squirmy tyke. I love that it has a bar between the legs to keep my son from sliding down.

The adjustability features work easily and well, although I've seldom had cause to use them. I imagine if you had this chair when your child was newborn, it would be a great...Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Thumbs Down!, April 1, 2006

Liv's mama (Portland, Oregon) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Peg Perego Prima Pappa Diner in Oatmeal (Baby Product)
I registered for this highchair because of how nice it looks, and the reputation of the company. I really hate the cheesy baby patterns... this went well with our decor. Knowing what I know now, I would have purchased a plain wooden one. The only positive thing I could say about it is that it is nice looking.

The wheels don't move with the chair... My hardwood floors have several deep gouges and countless little scratches.

The straps do not come off (my daughter was sick and threw up in the chair) Let's just say they need to be replaced. It is impossible to deep clean them, they are permanently attached.

The tray doesn't not lock into place easily... it takes numerous tugs before it sticks.

The quality in general is just horrible. The reclining feature is a joke. It takes all my strength to lock it into place and even then, it's uneven. My daughter ends up leaning to one side!

I am not a slob... I keep everything in my...Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money, February 15, 2006
This review is from: Peg Perego Prima Pappa Diner in Oatmeal (Baby Product)
I am very disappointed with this highchair. I love the Peg Perego brand and I love their strollers but I HATE this high chair. These are new colors so I couldn't find any other reviews on it but I had to share.

The bad points: The chair is extremely hard to clean. You almost need to scrub it with a toothbrush daily. The cover is hard to get on and off too. There are so many cracks and crannies for crumbs and sticky stuff to hide. I take mine outside once a week and hose it off. The tray is WAY too high. My daughter is now 19 months old and it is still too high.
When she was a baby it was near her chin. It also doesn't push in close enough making even more of a mess. You will use a highchair for almost 2 years and this one doesn't work for babies or toddlers.

The good points: I love that is has the piece between her legs so she can't fall through. That's it.

If I could do it all over again, being older and wiser!, I would buy a wooden...Read more
