Summary: Love it!! Saved the day... 2008-07-04
Comment: This is a GREAT chair! We used it on vacation and it was a wonderful help. It fit right onto the counter. However, it doesn't fit on outdoor patio furniture and anything non-conventional (our home table is too thick for it to fit). BUT, it worked really well on the counter and any other standard table and was so very helpful.

Summary: Me Too Chair 2008-06-23
Comment: Love this travel chair! securely fastens on tables and counters. folds flat which is awesome for travel and cleans up easily.
only wish is that there was some way to keep the mess a little more contained like a traditional highchair does.

Summary: Light, small and so cool! 2008-04-18
Comment: I love how small and light this hook on chair is compared to others on the market. I liked the small C-clamps on this chair as I wasn't sure if the other models would fit under my 9" overhang at our breakfast bar.
However, at 8 months and 22 lbs, my son's belly is only a couple inches away from the metal bar. I sure hope his growth slows down considerably so I can continue to use it longer! Also when using a bib with a hard plastic crumb catcher, it gets a little cramped when putting the bib on and off without upsetting tray full of liquid, etc.
I also noticed the height of the back is low compared to some of the other models. When we first started using a highchair with my son, he would arch his back and wail so hard that I was worried it was a dangerous situation. Fortunately, he seems to have grown accustomed to the chair and doesn't do the cry/arch back much anymore.
Also, as he is still developing his fine motor skills, food would fall between the metal bar and the countertop as he tried to pick food up by sliding it up against something. We've rigged a cheap, thin plastic cutting board sheet to fill up the gap and food doesn't fall onto his lap/floor anymore.
Please think very carefully whether a hook on chair will be safe for the arrangement you're thinking of. I just heard of an incident (not this model but could have been) where a round, bar height (albeit med-large size) table tipped over and ended up ontop of a child when some other children were playing around. Fortunately, the metal frame withheld the weight of the table, but there's no avoiding the head injury.
BTW, I wonder what the safety is for a wiggling, thrashing, arching child. Is it anywhere near 40lbs??? LOL

Summary: Best purchase 2008-04-01
Comment: As already the mother of two, I didn't need to buy very much (if anything) when my third child was born, but I am always amazed at some of the new things that are invented from one to the next so I was cruising around the internet looking for new gadgets when I came across this travel-high-chair. I wish I would have had this for the first two too! It is so handy, I always just keep in the car and take it in to restaurants or anyplace I want to have a place for my 10 mth old to sit. Restaurant waiters/waitresses love it too because it takes up so much less space than those bulky slings or wooden high chairs. This is my #1 recommendation as a shower gift for any mom!
