Prince Lionheart bebePod Plus Kiwi

This item is great! I bought this instead of the Bumbo seat for a few reasons.

1.) This one came with a tray, toy, and 2 place mats for cheaper than I could have gotten the Bumbo seat with its accessories.

2.) I like how when my daughter sits in the BebePod, her legs are comfortably pointing downward instead of straight out like the Bumbo seat.

3.) I love the Kiwi color!!

Others complained about a chemical smell - I never had that.

A couple things I wish were a little different:

1.) I wish the backrest was not so rounded at the top and I like how the Bumbo seat has "arm rests" in a way.

2.) The BebePod is quite slippery and it looks like the Bumbo seat is not. (I've never even touched a Bumbo seat though so I don't know for sure.)

3.) While the Bebepod is foam, it's a little harder than I expected. I'm curious to know if the Bumbo seat is any softer. On the other...Read more

For the past several weeks, my 3 month old son has been wanting to sit up instead of lay down on his back or tummy. He loves being able to sit up "on his own" in this chair! The leg room isn't bad either which I read was a problem with similar products on the market. I bought the one with the optional tray and toy. My son's found a way to hold himself up even better by grabbing the oposite end of the tray and holding on. It's so cute! I recommend this to anyone!

I have loved this product from the moment I pulled it from the box when my son was 4 1/2 months old. He was able to sit up immediately for a few minutes and we have gradually increased to almost ten minutes. He loves the toy that came with it, and plays with it both snapped into the tray and just by itself. I love that it has both a pommel and a tray option. I shopped around, and no one had a price break on this item, but Amazon had free shipping, so that's why I bought through them.

I know other brands of this chair of recently been recalled, but I think the seat design of this one is superior. The baby has been leaning WAY over in it to pick up the toy he has dropped on the floor, and it shows no sign of tipping or of him falling out. I would still not use it on a table or chair. It also had that "new foam" smell when I took it out of the packaging, so I let it off-gas under an open window for a few days to air out.
