This booster is simple with plenty of room to grow. The top part is a soft plastic that gives some cushion but is very easy to clean up, the straps are all a sturdy nylon and use a very easy clip. What I really love about this product is that it has cushioning without taking away from the width of the chair. My son is off the charts in height and weight and at 20 months and he is still growing like a weed, so if you have big kids who still need boosters, this is a seat that will accommodate them. My only suggestion would be to make the straps easier to remove and put in the washing machine, I have just been cleaning them with some detergent and a damp cloth by hand.

My daughter had out grown (age wise) her highchair and insisted on sitting at the table. This seat is the perfect height. She feels like a big girl, loves the seat, and it's not too obnoxious at my table. It will slide up to the table and allow her to dine with us instead of having a separate tray and keeping her away from us. She's learning manners and etiquette sitting with us and we both love the seat. It's super easy to clean and doesn't have any cracks for food to get stuck in. The straps are a little difficult to adjust but I know if they were easier she'd be able to adjust them, so I don't mind them being a little difficult. The seat stays snug on the chair and the straps sit low on her lap so as not to put pressure on her stomach while she's eating. She can snap the straps together which she likes, but she cannot get them apart which I like.

We bought this because our chairs are high and the table is low. Which means little clearance for little legs in booster seats! It was perfect. It's lower in the front and gently rises towards the back. We tried several seats before this one. I love it, and our daughter loves it. She's almost 3 and she loves sitting in it to eat. Plus it's a firm but soft seat so she's comfortable sitting in it.

It securely attaches to the bottom of the seat with 2 seperate straps for the front and back. My daughter is very obedient, so she doesn't get down until we tell her she can. The straps are for security so she wouldn't fall but wouldn't necessarily restrain her. I would say this is not a product for a child much under 16 mo. Unless they are used to sitting in their own seat to eat.
