I did a lot of research on highchairs before buying this one. I have never purchased one before so I have nothing to compare it to but based on the good reviews, I went with it. My son is 4 months old and he loves sitting up in it. I have to agree- the harness is a bit awkward-- I feel like the chest clip that secures the 5 point system could choke him if he wore it---because he is not great at sitting up- but the tray holds him up pretty well- however, he can lean forward a bit and the restraint is such that it really isn't effective but only serves to hold him up by his neck. That said, I just don't use it and we love this highchair. I just stuff a towel in around the baby and he can sit up well enough without the restraint. I guess if you have a smaller baby and need them to be in the restraint, it might present a problem. Overall, good chair for the money. Sturdy. Easy to fold up.
