Sugar Booger "Prehistoric Pals" Feeding Collection Tabletop Splat Mat

Comment: At first like almost every new mom out there I bought the splat mats at Babies R Us for 8 bucks. After going thru 3 of these annoying sheets of overpriced plastic I finally decided that thin plastic, a messy baby and a dog and cat that like to sit under the highchair is just a bad mix. I found the Sugar Booger splat mats and was a bit turned off by the price but then after doing the math (3 going on 4 splat mats for 8 bucks each...and they were ugly) I should buy one to see if the quality was worth the price.

IT IS! The mat is much thicker than the junk you get at the baby store AND it's not ugly. It's very easy to wipe the mat down without having to deal with wrinkles and rips. If the mat gets really messy you can throw it into the gentle cycle...I love that! We picked up the matching place mat which really makes a nice set once our daughter moved over to a booster seat. The place mat is also very thick and cleans easily.

They came with a nice carry case that comes in handy when going to the grandparents house. I've had this for a while now (more than 6 months)it's been in use everyday since we bought it and it still looks new. This is worth every penny. If I had known about this I would have bought this instead of ever getting one of the cheapo plastic sheets from the store.

Comment: Very cute design, thick and sturdy, but not actually machine washable despite the label. Ripped on first wash, before we could even use it.
