Comment: The mat is super cute and has a good weight so it doesn't move around much on its own. We have wood floors in our kitchen (I know, weird!), so we wanted this to protect the floors from our food-flinging toddler.
The care instructions say you can wash it in a washing machine and hang to dry, but DON'T do it! The coating and the cloth backing have separated in places all over the mat, so the coating appears to be all bubbly, and it looks really cheap. The mat won't lay flat anymore, and has a tendency to curl along the edges. I was hoping this would be with us for years and we'd use it under a craft table down the road, but I doubt it will last that long.
It's also not especially "jumbo."

Comment: When my husband and i down sized to a small apartment i purchased this to keep our floor baby food free without a highchair. it is just the right size to catch flying food in what ever direction. i have recommended it to several of my friends who all love it as well. the dinosaur design also went over well with my husband!

Comment: I find this mat harder to clean than the kitchen floor when my daughter makes a mess in her high chair. You need to clean it and dry it and then fold it up, where with the kitchen floor, I can just wipe whatever it is up and that is that. I guess if you have carpet in your dining area this is useful? Or want to feed the food they threw on the floor to the baby after you pick it up and put it back on the tray? I guess I will keep it for when we tackle art projects. The print is super cute, that is for sure. But it is basically just a table cloth.

Comment: A vinyl mat seems like such a simple thing but it is totally worth it to buy this one. The mat is very thick vinyl with a soft backing that slides on the wood floor as I scoot the high chair around. I take it outside and hose it down every couple of days but I have machine washed it too. Highly recommend.

Summary: Love it & highly recommend it 2010-06-14
Comment: My little man is a REALLY messy eater and this is almost like a canvas mat with a thick plastic coating. I thought it was great for clean up under the high chair with its size. Seems to be a square yard in size. I only hand wash with soap & water then hang dry once a week, other that usually just shake out or rinse off as needed. Doesn't get smelly, which is really nice. The best test of it's strength came when a heavy bottom glass broke on it and barely nicked the plastic covering. All of the glass shards stayed on the mat! Great product and would highly recommend to everyone. Already did to my friends!
