Picture is not correct,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Summer Infant Carter's Classic Comfort Reclining Wood High Chair, Whisper, Brown/Blue (Baby Product)
I don't regret my purchase, however there are a couple issues:
1. The picture shows the "Animals on Parade" style seat pad, but I received the "Whisper" design. Not a big deal to me since I was already settling because I originally wanted "Safari Friends". Just be aware that what you see may not be what you get.
2. The seat pad is not that padded. The picture shows a pillow-like pad, but it is flat with hardly any stuffing - if any at all. It's definitely not a high chair for a baby under 6 months old. Your child should be sitting by themselves with little help. The pad is vinyl except for the top 1/4 behind babies head.
Overall I'm quite happy with the chair. It is very solid and sturdy and will obviously last a very long time. It's a timeless design and doesn't take up much room at all. It's nice that there is a larger removable tray and a small stationary tray that insures my daughter will never slip out due to the center piece between her...Read more

Chose over Graco Blossom 4 in 1,

This review is from: Summer Infant Carter's Classic Comfort Reclining Wood High Chair, Whisper, Brown/Blue (Baby Product)
I can't say anything about the Graco Blossom 4 in 1 from experience, but I spent a few days deciding whether I wanted this wooden chair or the Graco based on reviews and the fact that I preferred wood over the newer high chairs. My reasons for choosing this chair over the Graco are as follows:
1. The appearance: I don't think there are any non-wooden models that look as nice as this high chair.
2. The Graco had wheels, and this chair does not: I realize the wheels are for convenience, but I just don't feel like it's a good idea to put wheels on baby furniture that is supposed to be stationary. Especially if you have more than one child, or are planning on having more than one(the older child may want to take baby for a ride). Additionally, I read a review that said even though the wheels lock, their baby could still scoot it by wiggling in the seat. My baby has not figured out how to shake the chair yet, but I can say it is very sturdy; the legs are angled well...Read more

Ok chair, but cover does not stay in place,
December 3, 2011 JK "ella" (Riverside, NJ United States) - See all my reviews

I don't think that anyone who reviewed this chair actually USED it before reviewing it. Everyone seems to be complaining about the pattern of seat cover they received, that is no big deal to me. The BIG problem that I have with this chair is that the the way in which the seat cover snaps on does not hold it into place. The rungs that it snaps to are vertical so the cover just slides down. Everytime I put my son in the chair, the seat cover slides down further and further until its hanging below the seat because nothing secures it to the top rail to hold it up from sliding down. THis could be amended I suppose with a sewing machine if you were to make some kind of velcro tabs long enough to wrap around the top piece of the back and hold the corners up, but I do not have a sewing machine and after paying the money that I did for the chair it should not have this problem. You could buy another high chair cover but they do not come with straps to strap the baby in and my son is now...Read more
