The Svan Chair grows with a child at every age and size. Since the seat and footrest can be freely adjusted along the main beam, the chair can be adjusted to always fit the precise needs of a growing child. The Svan Chair is so flexible that it adjusts all the way to meet the needs of a teenager or even an adult.

By This review is from: Svan High Chair from Scandinavian Child with Infant Kit and Cushion, Turquoise Cushion in Whitewash Wood (Baby Product) I put the chair together a couple of weeks ago and was happy to see a DVD fall out of the packaging. It was pretty easy to follow. I didn't see the written instructions until I was done but they are also pretty clear. Very well written unlike some of the other products out there that look like they've been photocopied 8 times before you got them with English that was probably translated by a computer.
The only problem I had was driving in the last four screws to secure the plastic snaps to the serving tray. They tell you not to use an electric drill for fear of pushing them in too far. So, I drove them in by hand. Or as far as I could get them. The screw heads started to strip under the pressure. When we backed them out 3 had bent trying to drive through the wood and the fourth snapped in half. OK, so whatever wood this stuff is made out of is pretty tough! This review is from: Svan High Chair from Scandinavian Child with Infant Kit and Cushion, Turquoise Cushion in Whitewash Wood (Baby Product) This chair was easy to put together. I love the instructional DVD. It looks great. So much nicer than the awful plastic high chairs out there and not as expensive as the other wooden ones. It's sturdy and functional. True, it can be hard to get your kid into this if they are really intent on resisting but I think that goes for all high chairs. The plastic tray snaps on and off easily. Important, since I wash it between every meal. I have not yet tried to clean the cushion. Since the tray pulls all the way in to your child's belly, not that much food gets on the cushion or straps. I really like this chair and would buy it again. |
