Summary: INCREDIBLE! 2008-08-13
Comment: I bought this with doubts as to whether it would actually keep my 20 month old daughter in our very tall counter-height dining table chairs. I was amazed! It installed in under a minute and she loves it. For the first time in quite a while, she sat calmly at the table and enjoyed her meal. I was able to tighten in around her very easily and despite leaning to the side throughout the meal, it held her firmly in place. Its ease of use also makes it a breeze to stick in the diaper bag and use in restaurant instead of those cold, wobbly wooden highchairs. I just wish I had purchased this item sooner.

Summary: Very portable and safe 2008-07-05
Comment: The totseat has been everywhere and the baby loves it. It's very secure and I don't agree at all with the other reviewer that tehe baby can slide down or tip over. You have to make sure, of course, that the chair itself is stable, but that's a no-brainer. Also, the Totseat's belt has to go through the two loops in the back and then fastened. That allows the baby to keep his/ her balance because the weight of the baby is held up that way. When you unhook the baby, you have to hold the baby in the process. I think that is how the other reviewer's baby fell/ slipped down. But that is also a no-brainer - whenever you take your baby out of anything, whatever it may be, you have to hold on to your little one.
Totseat a brilliant invention, really. And the price is very reasonable. I definitely recommend this product.

Summary: Easy to tip over chair 2008-07-01
Comment: I bought this for traveling without a car. It's super-portable and well made.
If your child like to push off with their feet, watch out! My daughter tipped over in a split-second during our first use. I was right there next to her, but I wasn't fast enough to stop the fall. After that I always kept either my foot on the base of her chair or my leg behind the chair. No freedom for the parents but still better than having her in my lap.

Summary: Convenient, portable 2007-08-07
Comment: I bought this for my 11 month old son for our various holidays on the road, at the cottage and general eating out. It is extremely portable and fits in your purse, no problem. I can even easily get the seat folded back into the little carry-bag it came with. It's simple to use, and adjustable for different seats. I used it at a firends house for dinner with no hassel. I even used it on a plastic chair at an outdoor event, where there were no highchairs available. Baby likes sitting in it, it's pretty secure and makes it easy to dine at a table without causing a fuss. My one problem is that it sits baby too low for table...I'm not sure what you are supposed to do about that. Also, many restaurants we go to have booths, so this seat can't be used in that way. It would be good if it also doubled as a high-chair cover.
