I bought this for my 11 month old son for our various holidays on the road, at the cottage and general eating out. It is extremely portable and fits in your purse, no problem. I can even easily get the seat folded back into the little carry-bag it came with. It's simple to use, and adjustable for different seats. I used it at a firends house for dinner with no hassel. I even used it on a plastic chair at an outdoor event, where there were no highchairs available. Baby likes sitting in it, it's pretty secure and makes it easy to dine at a table without causing a fuss. My one problem is that it sits baby too low for table...I'm not sure what you are supposed to do about that. Also, many restaurants we go to have booths, so this seat can't be used in that way. It would be good if it also doubled as a high-chair cover.

I was looking for the most compact high chair for our upcoming trip to NYC. Thank goodness I found this first! We've been trying it out--at a friend's house and at restaurants--and it works wonderfully! It is so portable, fitting easily into the matching pouch. It sets up quickly and easily. I chose the Totseat over My Little Seat because of the plastic clips--who wants to tie and untie knots with a fussy baby around? My 7-month-old son, who hates being restrained (in his carseat, in the stroller), actually likes this! He's stabilized, so he doesn't fall forward or to the side, but he's not tightly restrained. I feel he is much more secure in this than a restaurant high chair. I washed the Totseat before use, and there was no color fading or wrinkling. I only wish Amazon had some of the really cute patterns I saw on Totseat's website.

Technically this harness seems to work okay. It fits chairs and keeps the kid in place. But my daughter ended up sitting so low compared to the table that she didn't like it. It would work best if you happened to have a chair that was unusually high for your table.
