Summary: Gorgeous chair, not enough information to gage if it would work 2008-07-28
Comment: I ordered this chair as I do not want a plastic high chair--yuck!-- in our home, and a hook on chair was the stylish alternative our friends in paris chose to deal with their limited space as well. I love love love the pink and brown fabric of this chair which both goes with our decor and fits our daughter. The chair was really very padded on both the back and bottom, though I could still feel the bar through the back, right where our daughters head was leaning at this age. I think the chair would've fit a rather large child as is shown in the picture, weight limit listed on the box is 33lbs (15kg) but cannot attest to that as our daughter is only 17lbs. The chair would've been able to fold flat easily if we had wanted it to or wanted to, but it did not come with a carrying case, which if we were using this as a traveling high chair for dining out I would've wanted.
Only problem with the chair is it didn't fit our table's skirt, which is only 3". Our skirt is close to the edge of the table as is usual, only a 1" overhang. Hoping the chair would work I attempted to attach the chair to the lip of the table tightening the clamp as high as it would go. It tightened fine and held the chair to the table--even tried it with our daughter in it and it held, just would not have been safe as we plan on using this often and until she is in a regular chair. I measured the distance of the top bar that lies on the table to the clamp and the farthest it goes is 2 3/4"--the 2.76" that is listed in the description on the box. There is no way it could've passed our 3" skirt, so I'm unsure of how the first reviewer had it pass their 4" skirt unless it is a box type table with no overhang in which case I could maybe see it happening.
Wish this chair would've worked for us as it is beautiful and feels very well made, but the description and information was a bit lacking for our situation. The photo of the mother and toddler girl in the chair should've clued me in as the table it is hooked to has no table skirt... Not to mention that the other reviewer claimed it worked with their larger skirt, so that aided in the confusion. If it had worked with our table I most likely would've given it 5 stars, but then again I wasn't able to use it with our daughter eating in it so maybe it wouldn't have held up so well with a child's eating fits... guess I'll never know.
Gorgeous chair, hope it works for you!

Summary: Does not clear a 4" table skirt 2008-07-22
Comment: I bought this chair because a different reviewer said it cleared her 4" table skirt with no problem. As I also have a 4" table skirt, I ordered this chair. It didn't even come close to clearing our table skirt. I was very disappointed. Otherwise, it looks like a great chair.

Summary: Throw Out Your High chair 2008-07-18
Comment: Excellent product that works great at home and at restaurants. The Zooper chair cleans up quite easily; just throw it in the washing machine and it comes out like new! I had a highchair for my first child and it took up an entire corner in my kitchen. I decided to order this chair for my second child and I have no regrets! In fact, our family went out to dinner tonight (along with our Zooper) and put our 6 month old baby in it -very easy to bring along and convenient. I keep it attached to the kitchen counter and it is extremely sturdy. I researched other hook on chairs and the Zooper was the best choice due to the 4-point harness, padded seat/back, and stylish colors. I highly recommend this excellent product!

Summary: Great alternative to bulky high chair 2008-05-12
Comment: We use the Zooper Hook On High Chair as our main high chair.
The last thing we needed was yet another brightly colored HUGE plastic baby item in our way too small house, so we opted for a hook on. The colors are pleasing (it hard to see in the pic, but it is tan/brown with pink trim) and the design is simple and practical.
It clears our 4" table skirt with no problem, getting it hooked on was a breeze. The clamps are covered in plastic, so you don't get scratches on your table.
The seat is nicely cushioned, especially in the back so my baby does not have a metal bar sticking in her back (we looked at the MeToo, too and did not buy it because of the lack of cushioning)and comes with a cushioned suppord board as well.
It has a full harness and a lap strap for safety. There is no metal bar in the front, but a nylon strap that runs between the clamps...less potential for little fingers getting pinched.
I have already run it through the washer once, though it wipes down easily as well. If you do wash it, you don't have to take of the clamps that attach to the table, instead just take off the back bar and unsnap the seat, the support board goes in and out easily as well and is covered in plastic, so if you had a big mess, it wipes down clean.
This is quite a big chair, my 7 month old has PLENTY of room left to grow into it.
We love it and may actually buy a second one for being out and about.
