Summary: An updated review after 12 months of use. 2008-05-15
Comment: In the interest of disclosure (hehe) I DO NOT work for Zooper but am a mom of 3 (and a half)who truly appreciates REALISTIC reviews from fellow Amazon buyers. I rely on you who give a fair and honest review and not just some snarky comment about others' reviews!

So, I bought this high chair just over 12 months ago from Target because Amazon.com refused to offer free shipping on the color beige. My son (my third boy, so I have owned MANY a high chair due to moves and having to sell most of my stuff and start again for each baby) is a BIG boy. He is over 36 pounds at 14 months. He started using this high chair at just shy of 3 months old. Again, he is a big boy and was so at 3 months. I wanted a stylish chair that fit with my decor (I was sick of fruffy patterns and teddy bears), it seemed this was a decent option. I posted this review after my initial purchase (and posted it in all other color categories too but the one for this color seems to have "disappeared") and now that I have used it over a year I have a few updated things to say:

PROS:
1. Cushy comfy seat.
2. Extremely easy to put together.
3. Neat tray with "tray in tray" for ease of washing (1 year update: I have NEVER used the tray in tray. I popped it out at the beginning because general grossness was collecting around the edges and underneath...personally it is a wasted feature in my books).
4. Can use the castors included or not. (1 year update: Got laminate/hardwood floors? The castors DON'T scratch but the locking mechanisms also doesn't work...still slides around whether locked or not, obviously)
5. Multi level and recline. (1 year update: recline feature is handy for when babies want to feed themselves a bottle but you have dishes to do. BUT! Don't recline all the way; the lowest recline is so far down that it appears the babe will slide right out onto his head on the floor! Hence, I NEVER reclined all the way)
6. 5 point harness. (1 year update: I only ever used the lap belt. The shoulder straps are cumbersome and awkward.)
7. Basket underneath great for washcloths and bibs. (1 year update: I LOVE this feature!!)

CONS:
1. Tray is too far away from baby. My son is a "beefy boy" at 4 months and 19 pounds. He has to really lean forward to eat. (1 year update: BINGO, I called that one! Sorry Zooper, but putting a pillow behind his back didn't work, and EWWW! If your child is on the smaller side, you will HATE how far this tray is from the child! THAT is a deal breaker if you have a smaller child in my opinion.)
2. Make sure you check measurements before buying...it is a substantial space user, very wide at the base.
3. Harness is really odd and hard to fasten and unfasten. (See above note in pros)
4. Seat seems to tilt forward in thus baby's bum seems to slide out from underneath him when in sitting position.
5. Tray is difficult to get on and off. If you are used to Graco's super easy tray on and off then you are in for a big shocker! (1 year update: No one other than my husband and I can get this damn tray off completely. While fun to watch Grandma fumble, it sucks and is a terrible design flaw.)
6. One of the lap belt latches broke after two uses. Could I have called Zooper for a replacement, yes. But who has the freaking time when you have 3 kids!! I bought a generic lap belt and installed it. $3.00 piece of equipment from Target hasn't broken yet. Cheap parts much Zooper?

Overall, would I buy this again? Probably not (1 year update: NOPE!). Would I have rather have spent $169.00 on a better product? Definitely. And someone please explain to me WHY all the colors aren't the same price? That seems ridiculous to me. AND I am appaulled that Zooper would come here and do what they have done...and NO that doesn't give them 5 stars in my books. My rating has actually gone down by one star from my initial rating 12 or so months ago.

I am happy to get emails from anyone who is thinking of buying this high chair.

Hope this helps others in the future! -Kris

Summary: Don't be fooled by its cool design... 2007-06-01
Comment: I'm one of those people who hates cutesy baby gear, so I was thrilled when I saw this high-chair -- slick, modern, awesome-looking. If it looks this good, it must be great, right? Wrong!

I don't care what Zooper or their employees say, the chair is badly designed.

1. The tray cannot be adjusted close enough to baby, no matter how big they get. My son is now two years old, and the tray is still too far away. I mean, he's a toddler. Half his dinner ends up in his lap. I laughed when I read Zooper's response to negative reviews....the design promotes bonding? Oh, come on!

2. Despite proclaiming that the removable snack tray is dishwasher safe, mine completely discolored and faded after only a few washes.

3. The back part of the seat is not upright enough...my boy has never been able to sit up straight in the chair without a towel behind him.

All in all, this high chair is a pain. Proceed with caution, and don't say we didn't warn ya.

Summary: Awesome Chair!! It worked for us! 2006-07-07
Comment: We bought this highchair when my daughter was only 9 months old. She was very slow and not yet sitting and moving well on her own, but LOVED to be in this chair! We never had a problem with the chair supporting her. We also have never had a problem with her being able to reach her food, and she is a small baby, 8% on the charts. She loves to put her cup in the cup compartment and claps for herself so proudly every time she fits it in. It is so easy to clean, the pad pulls right off and the straps ARE removeable, maybe not as easily as others, but it is not that hard either. I have removed mine several times and cleaned them with dish soap and they still look good as new, one year later. The smaller tray is great and very easy to clean as well, and the slide out tray is still small enough I can drop it in my sink and hose it down with my sprayer nozzle. I love the storage basket in the back, it is perfect for bibs. And (although the manual clearly says NOT to use the chair without the tray), I remove the tray now that my daughter is older and roll her right up to the dining table. It is the perfect height and she is still strapped in, and I don't need to buy a booster seat, she can sit in this chair until she is old enough to sit still in a real chair. Every chair will not work for every family, but I think this chair is getting a bad rap for no good reason. This is an awesome chair!
I also agree - kudos to Zooper for offering feedback and explaining your design. I think it's perfect!

Summary: Give them a break! 2006-07-02
Comment: I think it's WONDERFUL that this company cares enough about their product to go online and find out what customers think and THEN give the customer feedback straight from the company that designed the product. You don't think THAT deserves five stars????

I don't see fisher price doing this...

I give this company five stars for their customer service. And because they came online and provided feedback as well as pertinent information about their product, I bought the high chair.

Summary: appalled by company employees inflating the ratings 2006-06-24
Comment: I too am appalled by the company employees inflating ratings. This is a review just to compensate for those votes. I do not own the chair - just looking to purchase.
